Thoughts..just thoughts..
it's not just a wall
I was browsing my folders to find a nice picture that I could post here and write something about. I was actually thinking of posting a picture of a flower or a very tiny creature with a very nice color and perfect framing. But when I reached my ‘unpopular‘ folder, I saw this simple picture of a wall that I took last week just before I went to sleep.
The image itself pulled me and told me to pick it and write something about it. But, what am I suppose to write about a plain wall?
And so I opened my favorite image editor to add some text into the picture. At first I placed “you already know” and then decided to change it to “a wall”. But I accidentally clicked something and somehow its color changed. And when I stared at the picture for a minute I realized that it’s not just a plain wall after all. The picture itself contains the whole concept of the object and as well as its history. How am I supposed to sleep safely if this wall does not exist? The texture and the lines are somehow interesting as well. By looking at the texture, you will then realized how it was made and painted. The directions of the strokes also symbolizes the direction of the hand of the man who made it.
And then I realized that even the simplest thing on earth can have so many meanings and significance. That a single stick can be described in a thousand words. That a one page article can contain millions of data. That a small mistake can take thousands of lives. And that even a beggar can be a leader someday.
Look beyond what your eyes can see and try not to take for granted every single detail that your mind captures. – cyndy
